Mushroom Tofu Burgers* GF

From the Kitchen of Serendipity Ranch

 

8 oz. Mushrooms, finely chopped
12 oz. Tofu, crumbled
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 c oats

1 T McKay’s Beef Seasoning
2 T oil
½ cup Potato or Rice Flour

Mix all ingredients together except the Potato or Rice Flour. Add water sufficient to moisten everything with a little moisture just barely seen standing. I find different oats require different amounts of water. Let stand for 15 minutes. Stir three or four times while waiting. Stir in enough Flour to make the mixture bind together. Generally, about ½ cup will be sufficient. You do not want it real dry, but sufficient to hold together when placed on cook sheet.

Preheat oven to 375o F. Spoon mixture onto cookie sheet in sizes of burgers you desire. Bake in oven for 45 minutes, turning half way through baking time. Enjoy!
