A low perennial with trifoliate leaves similar to those of the true strawberry but with yellow petals and a pulpy, tasteless fruit surrounded by 5 large toothed bracts.  Note that Cinquefoil, the next species, has 5 leaflets and smaller bracts.  An introduced weed found in lawns, pastures, open woods, and on roadsides at scattered localities throughout our state and area.  February - October [Justice, William S. and Bell, C.
