Frank Mason North

Born: December 3, 1850, New York City.

Died: December 17, 1935, Madison, New Jersey.

    North received degrees from Wesleyan University, and was ordained a Methodist Episcopal minister in 1872. He pastored in Florida, New York City and Middletown, Connecticut, for two decades. He then edited The Christian City, and served as Secretary of the Church Extension and Missionary Society of New York City, and Corresponding Secretary of the Board of Foreign Missions of the Methodist Episcopal Church. From 1916-1920, he was president of the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America. He wrote about a dozen hymns.
