From late winter to early spring, the bare branches of these fountain-shaped shrubs are covered with yellow flowers.  During the rest of the growing season, medium green foliage blends well with other shrubs in the background of border planting.  Leaves are rounded, with pointed tips.  Use as a screen, espalier, or bank cover; or plant in shrub border.   Branches can be forced for indoor bloom in winter.
