November, 2009 ~ Friends of Harmon Field Receives Grant from Harmon Foundation:  Friends of Harmon Field received $5,000 from the Harmon Foundation to use in their unrestricted funds.

October, 2009 ~ Friends of Harmon Field is selected as one of 98 recipients for the BMW Charity Pro-Am project to be awarded in May, 2010.

May, 2009 ~ Friends of Harmon Field Receives Non-profit 501(c)(3) status.

May, 2008 ~ Friends of Harmon Field Receives Grant from Polk County Community Foundation:  Friends of Harmon Field received a Grant of $3,500 to move forward with plans to obtain their 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

The Town of Tryon also received three Grants from the Polk County Community Foundation, which goes to Friends of Harmon Field Projects. Those projects are:

  1. Friends of Harmon Field Fun Park - Awarded $1,700
  2. Harmon Field Landscaping Project - Awarded $3,500
  3. Harmon Field Tennis Courts Renovation Project - Awarded $8,000
